  1. Hi Craig, I hope you are well. I wanted to link to your timetable of emissions regulations in tomorrow’s Loadstar. We will direct our readers back to your page with a recommendation that they read it. Is that ok?

As an addendum, I’m in the early stages of researching the ramifications of the SOx 2015 regs on the wider European logistics industry:

Wondered if you might have any thoughts on this, because very few people I’ve spoken to have given it any consideration. The shipowners worry about fuel costs; forwarders and hauliers worry about rates going up, but none realise that their own fuel costs will skyrocket.

    Kind regards,

      Hi Gavin,
I am still new to this media, so apologies for the delay. I am happy for you to use this stuff. I really like Loadstar. I am getting up to speed on the emissions issue and will get back to you.

  2. Dear Craig,
Do you know where I can find OPEX/day for VLCCs as a function of the age of the ship? Also, do you know of any other resources that may be useful for valuing ships (esp. VLCCs) using a DCF approach?
